What People's Say About Place

Can’t tell you how refreshing it is to go somewhere and receive a beautiful, perfectly cooked and solid breakfast! I’m very happy! The latte was also amazing! Very nice staff and atmosphere. Adorable little cafe!

Satsuma on Maple Street was one of my favorite casual breakfast stops in New Orleans. The space felt bright, artsy, and relaxed — the kind of place where you can ease into your morning without feeling rushed. I ordered a simple breakfast plate and a fresh juice, and everything tasted clean and thoughtfully prepared. The ingredients felt fresh, and the flavors were light but satisfying. It’s not heavy diner food — it’s more on the wholesome, feel-good side. Overall, Satsuma Maple is perfect for a laid-back brunch or coffee break — fresh, friendly, and quietly charming.

I have visited this coffee shop twice and both times loved everything I saw and ate. The atmosphere is conducive to work as well as social gatherings. It seems a lively spot in its community. Additionally, I like very much that 12% gratuity is added automatically. I think most people give at least that much and having it already added means that you can just order and be done while knowing that everyone that works there shares that tip and it helps provide a standard living wage consistently. For that alone, I would be a patron but it has more! The teas are wonderful. The hibiscus tea is a rare and welcome find. The menu is inviting and can be modified. Everything is made fresh. There's a good amount of parking and pets are welcome. There is an adorable water station outside. I most definitely recommend Satsuma!

First time going. I got the pablano and pork hash. Amazing. Everything on the plate tasted different, but the flavor blended so well together. My wife got the bagel plate with lox, which was also awesome. Everything was fresh and light. I also appreciated their selection of Pressed juices. I will definitely be going back.

The Dr. Suess sandwich was really good. The green eggs are fun. The pork hash was delicious. I would definitely eat here again!

Satsuma never disappoints. I stopped in for a late breakfast and ordered the Mexican breakfast plate with a side of crispy bacon—and it was exactly what I needed. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the beans were seasoned just right, and the avocado tied it all together. And that bacon? Super crispy and exactly how bacon should be done. The vibe at Satsuma is relaxed and welcoming, with that unmistakable neighborhood café feel that makes you want to linger a little longer. Great spot for a casual breakfast or brunch in New Orleans—definitely one of my go-to favorites.

Very nice cafe. Friendly staff. I love that they add a 12% gratuity to the total for the staff to share. I ordered a hot vanilla latte. They had it out to me quickly and it was a delicious and well crafted beautiful drink. The cafe is spacious and has a hip , breezy vibe to it. They also use Cortas rosewater for some of their drinks which is BOMB. They housemake their vanilla syrup.

Awesome breakfast and lunch spot. Easily the best pancakes in the city.
